The mouse, realizing the interconnectedness of their fates, proposed a deal: it would free the cat from the net if the cat promised to spare its life from the approaching predators. The cat, understanding the dire circumstances, agreed. The mouse, with meticulous care, cut the net, freeing the cat just as the hunter arrived. Both the cat and the mouse escaped the imminent threat.

Days later, the hungry cat sought out the mouse, hoping to rekindle their newfound friendship. However, the mouse, remembering the cat's initial promise, declined the invitation. It had learned a valuable lesson: true friendship is built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect.
